Description
The action packed San Miguel section starts off at the Epic Adventure base and continues 8.5 miles (14km) downstream through continuous class III-IV whitewater. The whitewater rollercoaster begins as soon as you hit the river at Morning Coffee rapid, which is sure to get your heart racing with no extra caffeine needed! You will pass through narrow and steep sections of the river as you wind your way down the adventurous Sarapiquí. Halfway through the day we will stop to provide a mouthwatering lunch to keep your energy primed at an EPIC spot for swimming and relaxing along the majestic river’s banks.
Our expert guides will teach you rafting commands and safely navigate your team through the exhilarating rapids. They are not only trained in whitewater guiding but will also share their expertise about the flora and fauna of the Sarapiquí. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for wildlife such as monkeys, sloths, toucans, egrets, and herons particularly as you pass through the lush Tirimbina biological reserve.
