Description

For those preferring a more intermediate level of action, join us for the La Virgen portion of the Sarapiquí. There is still plenty of excitement to be had with several class III rapids and picturesque scenery. The La Virgen section is great for those wanting to take in the incredible views and experience whitewater rafting without the extreme pace.

Our experienced guides will tell you all you need to know about whitewater rafting and safely direct your team through the exciting and stunning rapids. They are not only trained in whitewater guiding but will also share their expertise about the abundant flora and fauna of the Sarapiquí. The La Virgen is particularly well suited to wildlife lovers given the more moderate pace of the rapids, which allows more time to scan the banks and treetops for birds, reptiles, and mammals. Midway through the trip we will stop at our majestic lunch spot to offer a chance to stretch your legs and fill your belly with a delicious riverside lunch.

The section can be split into an 8 or 14 mile stretch with the lower half of La Virgen being a more family friendly float through mostly class II rapids, offering the perfect introduction to whitewater for those wanting to join just for the easier lower section of the river.
