Description
Travel through the majestic tropical rainforest amongst the shrouded canopy on the 16 bridges of the Mystic Trail. You will pass by a stunning 60ft (18m) waterfall as you wander through the lush forest and there are numerous viewpoints on the bridges and at the Mistico base. There is wildlife abound so bring your binoculars and camera and keep a look out for monkeys, sloths, iguana, collared peccary (wild pigs), and all sorts of reptiles and birds!
The well-marked 2-mile (3.2km) trail can be hiked on a tour with a guide to tell you all about the flora and fauna of the area or you can be your own guide and explore the trails at your own pace. The hanging bridges are among the most popular destination around Arenal!
