Whitewater Kayaking

picture about the tour

Exploring whitewater is one of our passions at Epic Adventure. While rafting is our main activity, we can customize whitewater kayaking to meet your adventure needs. We have a fleet of 18 recreational boats, creek boats, and river runners, along with all the necessary equipment. Our expert kayakers can organize and guide you through rivers across the country, or you can rent without a guide and plan your own trip.

In addition to the thrilling rafting trips we conduct on the Lower Pacuare, San Miguel, and Sarapiquí rivers, we can also lead advanced whitewater kayaking expeditions on rivers such as the Upper Pacuare (Class V), General (Class IV), Chirripó (Class V), Toro (Class IV and V), Volcán, and Reventazón (Class IV+).

The kayak river descent excursion offers a unique and exciting experience for those seeking water adventures in Costa Rica. It starts at the kayak operator's base, where participants receive a detailed safety briefing and kayak handling session.

Once equipped with kayaks and necessary gear, participants launch into the water to begin the river descent. During the journey, they will have the opportunity to paddle through rapids of different levels, experiencing the thrill and adrenaline of navigating the river.

Additionally, participants will enjoy the stunning natural beauty of the river and its surroundings, including panoramic views of mountains, lush tropical vegetation, and local wildlife such as birds, monkeys, and reptiles. The expert guide will provide detailed information about the area's history and ecology, adding value to the experience.

The kayak river descent excursion is designed to offer a safe and exciting adventure for all skill levels. At the end of the excursion, participants will be transported back to the operations base by vehicle, where they can enjoy a snack and share their experiences.

In summary, the kayak river descent excursion is an exhilarating and unique experience that combines water adventure with the natural beauty and history of Costa Rica.
